Cost of Attendance 2024-2025

SPC knows that there is more to the cost of attending college than what is due to the college such as your living expenses. Akey element in determining financial need is determining the cost to attend a particular institution for a given period of time.  The Cost of Attendance shows the potential estimated cost of attending SPC as well as living and other related expenses for nine months (based on 12 or more credit hours per semester).

Residency Definitions:

In-District: A Texas resident who physically resides within the geographic boundaries of the South Plains College District (Hockley County or Whiteface CISD), excluding student housing or residence halls. To qualify for in-district tuition, a student must have been classified as a Texas resident by the Admissions and Records Office.

Out-of-District: A Texas resident who does not physically reside within the geographic boundaries of the South Plains College District (Hockley County or Whiteface CISD).

Non-Resident: A non-resident student is defined as one who does not qualify as a Texas resident (out-of-state, international). A non-resident classification is presumed to be correct so long as the student is in the state primarily for the purpose of attending school.

Cost of Attendance Appeals:

A Cost of Attendance Appeal is available for adjustments for childcare expenses, disability expenses, unforeseen financial hardship, or changes/updates to housing plans. Please contact the Financial Aid Office if an appeal is needed.
