Clinical Preparation Resources
- CLINICAL EXPECTATIONS: These documents explain what you can expect the student PTA to know and be able to perform. Also, they list the expectations for student performance by the end of the clinical experience.
- SUGGESTED TIMELINE FOR CLINICAL: This is a suggested timeline for how the student might be expected to progress through their clinical. Feel free to use this as a launchpad to discuss with the student how the clinical will go.
- CLINICAL EXPERIENCE HANDBOOK: This is the SPC PTA Program’s “policies and procedures” for clinical experiences.
Clinical-Related Forms
- CI Assessment of SPC PTA Program : This link leads to a Microsoft Forms survey. If you are a CI who has worked with a student PTA from SPC, please complete this to let us know how we are doing!

Clinical Site Visit Form : This is the form that will be used to conduct the site visit(s) during the clinical experience. Take a look at this so you know what kind of information to have ready.
- Clinical Skills Checklist : This is a sample of the student’s checklist, that they will be completing as the clinical progresses, to track the opportunities that arise and their performance of those opportunities. It’s meant to supplement the CPI, to provide more details about specific clinical opportunities. Please visit with the student regarding this checklist on a weekly basis.
